For those of you wondering about the title. The movie Kin was in fact my second short movie, the first being the uncompleted short movie "Redemption Song". Now, I decided to post some pictures of Kin along with the script. I'm doing this for those aspiring filmmakers from DEVART, I am happy to answer any questions relating to my filmmaking adventures, so just drop me a line. The script will be up shortly, for now I hope you enjoy the pictures of Kin, it's premise basically goes like this.
"It is the year 390, and the Visigoths have broken free from Roman rule. As time goes on they go back to forming there once disbanded tribal clans. Through this the young Alaric the Goth is in charge of operations to the north. He hears of rumors of the Vandal clan that betrayed the Goths in the First Battle for Rome. He and his group wage war againts the Vandal Villages. During this period Arminius from the south joins his clan, with orders from Athidius. Alaric is weary of Arminius, he is known as the Butcher from the East and Alaric is constantly arguing over Arminius's brand of fighting. Our short movie begins when we see the Burning of a village and a young woman, Lilith running into the woods with her son Marcus. They are trying to escape the lost village, but Lilith is being watched and followed by Arminius. She hides Marcus, but is unable to escape her fate. She is captured by Arminius and he begins to rip her clothes off, at this moment Alaric comes to her rescue, now Arminius and Alaric will have to duke it out."
Now this is just a portion of the story, the entire short movie spands over a year and has a few more characters thrown in the mix, for that I hope you read the script and enjoy.
